Bringing Creativity to Midtown Crossing: Chalk Art Festival 2026

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be helping Midtown Crossing make this year’s 8th Annual Chalk Art Festival an unforgettable experience! After supporting local vendors for the Night Market, I’m now adding artist coordination, ensuring that everyone has the support they need to bring their sidewalk masterpieces to life.

📅 When & Where:
Saturday & Sunday, August 15–16, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the Turner Park sidewalks at Midtown Crossing. Best of all? It’s completely free and open to the public!

This festival is a celebration of community, creativity, and color. Local artists will transform sidewalks into breathtaking chalk murals, creating a dynamic and interactive experience for visitors of all ages. And, just like the Night Market, the festival connects people with the neighborhood’s food, drink, and lively atmosphere, making it a perfect weekend outing.

One of my favorite parts of helping with this festival is working directly with the artists—communicating schedules, helping with logistics, and making sure they feel supported so they can focus entirely on their art. And, just like with the vendors I helped coordinate for the Night Market, this behind-the-scenes work helps the festival run smoothly and ensures every visitor has a seamless, engaging experience.

Artists: We’re accepting applications! Chosen artists and artist teams get creative control of their chalk masterpiece and enjoy significant exposure throughout the festival weekend. Prizes include Best of Show, Best Use of Color, and People’s Choice Award. Apply here: Artist Application

Parking & More Info: Midtown Crossing garage visitors enjoy 2 hours free parking, with just $1 per hour after that (maximum $15/day). Learn more: Midtown Crossing Parking

A huge thank you to presenting sponsor MINI of Omaha for making this colorful celebration possible. Come for the art, stay for the neighborhood fun, and enjoy a weekend surrounded by creativity!

After years of running my fashion truck and online shop, I’ve decided to sell my business and close this chapter to focus on new adventures. This wasn’t an easy decision—*hello ruby* has been such a huge part of my life, and I’ll forever cherish the memories, the amazing customers, and the connections I made. 💖

I’ll be focusing on growing *A Local Collective*, curating vendors for Midtown Crossing, and continuing my rebranded podcast, *Behind the Business*. This next chapter is all about supporting small businesses and building community—and I couldn’t be more excited!

Thank you for every ounce of love and support over the years. You made this journey unforgettable. Here’s to big dreams and new adventures ahead!

XO,

Jill ✨
